January always feels a little quieter around here. My son just headed back to college, and now I’m officially counting the days until the girls and my son-in-law come to visit. In the meantime, it’s all about cozy, comforting meals and easy game-day food that brings everyone to the table without a lot of effort. This week’s dinner planner leans into that feeling which is simple, satisfying recipes that work just as well for a low-key night in as they do for watching a game with people you love. And if you want more behind-the-scenes, extra recipes, and what I’m really cooking right now, make sure you’re subscribed to my Substack. January is the perfect time to lean into good food and good routines.
Here’s your dinner planner for the week:

Thursday: Asian-Inspired Tangerine Chicken + Vegetable fried rice
Friday: Turkey Pozole Rojo from The Modern Proper served with baked tortilla chips
